Rich Ferraro

Rich Ferraro is the Chief Communications Officer of GLAAD, the world's most visible LGBTQ advocacy organization. In his role, Ferraro leads GLAAD's culture-changing media advocacy campaigns and behind-the-scenes work with brands, journalists, content creators, elected officials, organizations, and social media platforms. Ferraro has worked on hundreds of LGBTQ-inclusive media projects and received a Daytime Emmy Award as part of the team behind the MTV and Logo documentary "Laverne Cox Presents: The T Word." He has collaborated with companies including Delta, P&G, Meta, Accenture, among many others, on LGBTQ-inclusive advertising and public relations campaigns. He is also an Executive Producer of the GLAAD Media Awards. He has been recognized on the OUT100, PRWeek 40 Under 40, and the 2023 Campaign.us CMO 50 lists. Ferraro has programmed LGBTQ affiliate sessions during the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos and speaks on LGBTQ issues and communications industry trends across top-tier news media as well as at ADCOLOR, Cannes Lions, the Public Relations Society of America ICON national conference, and AdAge's LGBTQ Town Hall. Previously, he was a Senior Director of Communications and Public Affairs at ViacomCBS, where he worked on press and social impact for programming including RuPaul's Drag Race.
